UI Designer

RapidFort is looking for a dynamic UI designer who can create the user interface and user experience for all our products on all platforms (Web, Mobile and Desktop).  

We're looking for a passionate product designer to help us define how people work with our products. You'll create stunning and inspiring design experiences that help Rapidfort’ users interact with the software. You should be an excellent communicator, a self-starter and comfortable working closely with product and engineering teams in a fast-paced agile environment. The ideal candidate will be a marketing-minded individual who has an eye for SaaS design and who can make a user with very limited technical skills feel like a pro when using our products. This position reports to the VP of Design.

Minimum Requirements

  • 2 - 5 years of UI experience minimum
  • Strong prototyping, iconography, visual and mockup skills.  
  • Very organized and able to manage multiple projects.
  • Knowledge of usability principles and techniques.
  • Current knowledge of UI Design strategies and trends across software, web, and mobile platforms.
  • Experience with Figma is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. Degree in Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors or Information Design is a plus. Certification or courses in HCI is a plus.
  • Must have a portfolio available for viewing.

Responsibilities

  • Illustrate drive for ease-of-use and simplicity.  
  • Can define and implement design criteria, design guidelines, and design specs; illustrate experience with industry standards and corporate visual design guidelines.
  • Be capable of independent design process, project, and schedule management.  
  • Illustrate experience in conceptual development and creative prototypes as well as tactical UI design and implementation.  
  • Be a creative problem-solver and an effective communicator, presenter, and negotiator  
  • Be efficient and insightful in dealing with peers, partners, and cross-discipline and cross-team relationships.  
  • Exhibit ability to collaborate with a broad set of cross-functional and cross-company collaborators.
  • Experience in working with geographically distributed development teams is a plus.  
  • Be tolerant of a range of projects, from vague to well-defined, simple to complex, implementation to innovation.  
  • Deliver on time in a fast paced environment
  • Handle special projects, as needed
