DevOps Engineer
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic DevOps Engineer to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of DevOps principles, basic experience with cloud platforms, and a desire to grow their skills in a fast-paced and supportive environment. As a DevOps Engineer, you will work closely with our Senior DevOps Engineers to support the development, deployment, and operations of our software applications.
Job Requirements
- Basic understanding of DevOps practices and tools.
- Understanding of containerization technologies (e.g. Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g. Kubernetes). 2yrs
- Basic knowledge of CI/CD frameworks (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions) 3 yrs
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. 1 yr
- Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
- Fundamental knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. Bash, Python). 2-3
- Good understanding of Linux/Unix system administration.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
- Experience working with agility in a high-velocity environment
- Strong communication skills: verbal and written
- Passionate about working on an early-stage venture
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or Site Reliability Engineer
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent hands-on experience
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor and manage cloud infrastructure (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP) ensuring high availability and performance.
- Collaborate with development teams to automate and improve development and release processes.
- Help maintain and improve configuration management practices.
- Participate in the development and implementation of infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform
- Support the team in managing version control systems (e.g. Git).
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments.
- Ensure system security through monitoring, patch management, and implementation of best practices.
- Document processes and maintain records of configurations and changes.
